Jordan Day is a Senior Vice-President with BDO and works out of the Edmonton office. Jordan received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, a Masters of Management in Professional Accounting from the University of Toronto, is a designated Certified Public Accountant, a Licensed Insolvency Trustee and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional.
Jordan has over 12 years experience assisting financially challenged individuals and businesses through formal and informal insolvency processes. He has experience in a variety of sectors including food service, hospitality, oil and gas, manufacturing, agriculture, construction and retail. In recent years Jordan has managed numerous receiverships and overseen the completion of construction projects in Fort McMurray, winding down logistics companies with assets throughout North America and assisted in the operation of a diamond cutting and diamond wholesale business with operations in the Northwest Territories. Jordan also has significant experience assisting owner managed companies deal with their unique financial challenges. Jordan works with under-performing businesses and their stakeholders to find mutually beneficial solutions. In addition to assisting companies with financial challenges, Jordan also assists individuals who are facing financial difficulty.
Jordan is a past member of Leduc Rotary Club. Jordan volunteers as a presenter at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury discussing topics such as budgeting, financial management and financial recovery. Jordan in married, lives outside of Edmonton and has 8 children. With his young active family, Jordan is an active participant in the Telford Hall 4H Multi club, Scouts Canada program, the Calmar Curling Club, soccer, dance, swimming and other sporting clubs and organizations that appeal to his children. Outside of his work with BDO, Jordan enjoys the outdoors and particularly enjoys working with his children as a hobby farmer.
